Requisite agility UNSYMPOSIUM

Creating Organisation without any Residual Disorder

About the RA UnSymposium

At the conclusion of the UnSymposium in Times Square, New York we asked, what is your unmet need? What new knowledge and perspective would make the greatest difference in your practice?

We were told to bring forth real-life case studies that reveal how organisations from all sectors are building agile, resilient and adaptive enterprises , not caught up in vendors selling products, but in pragmatic ways that you can apply in a practical manner in your own organization.

Gain a deeper understanding of how to keep each and every element of your company, division, bureau, agency or institution free from any organisational debt that can harm or even kill a growing organisation.

Congruence Day

On 4 December, 40 invited professionals will gather to pool their expertise and co-create detailed, holistic, and robust solutions they believe can be part of the RA movement in a group agility Congruence Day. This effort to further strengthen RA's conceptual foundations one-day before the UnSymposium will enable us to harness and leverage the diverse knowledge and experience that resides within and around the RA world. This pre-unsymposium Congruence Day will be limited to only 40 individuals. The resulting body of knowledge, created by the RA Community, will be licensed under Creative Commons, attributing all contributors and provided as open access to the public.

Why Requisite agility matters?

RA sets forth a coherent set of organization design principles, paradigms, patterns and practices that scaffold organizations to achieve the requisite level of agility necessary to be spotlessly clean of any organization disorder. RA is a uniquely natural, evidence-based, an organic and holistic approach that is top-down and bottom-up all at the same time and focuses on continues organization evolution. RA unites theoretically informed and organization-specific diagnosis, analysis, design, and implementation of organizational structures, processes, and practices that not only focus more on adjusting to business conditions but also focus on developing from those conditions.

RA is agnostic to any specific industry domain, technology, agile methodology, best practice, or framework. RA provides pragmatic ways to enable the organization  to continually examining itself, committed to becoming self-aware and socially accountable.

The RA movement is predicated on the belief that the most successful organizations are those that quickly recognize an unwanted quality, procedure, practice, or other elements that are causing dysfunction or a disorder. Through our UnSymposium and smaller gatherings around the world, you will learn rational ways to move beyond merely aggregating the piecemeal improvements of components to coordinating and optimizing whole systems.

RA helps organizations in their ability to:

accomplish the future state of agility, and how to transition to that state;

help people absorb and transmit one another's energy in recognizable, repeating patterns;

rapidly change business processes, organizations, skills, rules, data and technology;

bridge the gap between strategic design and strategy implementation.

Why Attend?

Today’s world is volatile, uncertain, complex, and constantly changing. Surviving in this environment requires new ways of thinking, human-centered organization, and innovative approaches to managing. The UnSymposium will equip you with new perspectives on today’s intractable challenges, and show you real-world tools and techniques for creating a successful organisation that can use the speed, agility, adaptability, and ability to consciously evolve to compete and win in today’s constantly changing global business environment.

About Venue

TANKTURM

The Tankturm is a special venue in Heidelberg. Once this tower was used to fill steam locomotives with water. In 2014, AAg Architekten acquired the heritage-protected building and converted it into a venue for business, social and private events.

Contemporary expressions of the fine arts, literature, music, theater and dance find space and stage at the TANKTURM: The multifunctional facilities in the tower and side wings of the building are used as an event location and a place for art and culture. The location within the constantly evolving Bahnstadt in Heidelberg offers new perspectives.
